This pretty wedding came from our friend and 100LC reader Sarah, who actually found her amazing photographer through our little blog. NEAT!!! Sarah and her hubs Vincent live in LA (where Vincent is the killer chef/owner of Animal), but had their wedding at Sarah’s family home on Long Island. As she says, having the wedding at home was a ton of work, but way worth it for the intimacy and memories they’ll have forever.

Now let’s see them photos…

  1. These are just lovely — there is an intimate quality to these images that brings the viewer right into the wedding. The photographer did an amazing job of capturing this most special celebration…

  2. It is really great news that Sarah has found her wedding photographer through this blog. I really enjory reading this blog too. The photographer has taken very nice photos of their special moments. Thank you so much for this nice post.

  3. this wedding was, in a word, charming. p.s. loving that you are putting the vendor credits at the end of each post :)

  4. Beautiful! Oh how I hope that my future wedding pics turn out that great.

  5. Love the signage at this wedding! So unique and handmade looking. The pig-shaped “Please be Seated” sign in particular is really charming.

  6. Congratulations, looks like a magical day! Love the live music, the lawn and greenery, the communal table … I’ll certainly be looking back to this in the next couple months planning my wedding.

  7. besides the fact that this wedding is adorable… my favorite part is your last line :) yes, totally cutey cuterson, ha.

  8. Very sweet, I’m loving the rustic feel.

  9. Beautiful wedding! The deserts look delish, too! Mmm…

  10. That dress is absolutely gorgeous!

  11. I love her dress. I cannot believe it is Carolina Herrera

  12. I love the invitations. Does anyone have contact info for the designer? I tried to follow the website and the contact form had a glitch in it – error messages. Thanks!

  13. Just gorgeous!

  14. Love it!! What did they do with the brown bags that said keepsakes? Was if for photos?? Were those the favors? Love the idea, but I’d love to know more about it!! Thanks for a lovely post!

  15. This is Bridget from BDUB. It was so great to be a part of this wedding – the bride and groom are more charming than any photo could capture!

Johanna – I’m sorry about the form on my website.. While it’s getting sorted out, I can be reached at bridget@bdub-ny.com.

Caitlin – the Keepsake bag was used to take home a photo that the guests had taken/printed at a photo “booth” by photographer Charlotte at the reception.

I hope you guys like everything – I am such a huge 100LC fan!

  16. On balance, a lovely wedding. The pigs in a blanket deserve a shout-out for their contribution to the down-home feel. On a cautionary note: Think twice before adding ol’ timey fiddlers to your wedding mix. You’ll spend more time prying them away from the open bar than you will dancing to their music.

  17. Love it! Love it! Love it! The trouble with most rustic weddings is that the guests often feel as if they’re picnicking at a roadside reststop. But this one creates that authentic Arkansian feel without making you suspect that the groom is wearing a piece of rope for a belt.

  18. The mini sausage croissants look so cute and tasty. Woweee!!!! I also love the rustic lanterns and the tiny tin pails with candles in it. Looks so timeless and does add quite a statement of uniqueness to the whole wedding ambiance. I love the details!!!!

  19. Ohhh, I love the decoration of the tent. I would love to marry in that one too!!! What a dream come true!

  20. love all the details!
The photography is so soft too and vintage looking. I could keep looking at these photos!

  21. The brains behind this operation was Kimberlee, working with a very nice customer. Kim has a way of firmly but sweetly getting the most from her vendors. A solid week of rain!

  22. Wow..Really gorgeous wedding! Now its making me wana get hitched!
Love your posts!! Always so pretty:)

  23. As mother of the bride, I agree with my daughter that it was tons of work, but also tons of pleasure. Kimberlee was an angel and all the vendors that she contracted were a pleasure to work with. It was truly beautiful, delicious, fun and a most memorable event.

  24. Lord, how I do long for the days when a groom would make a point of shaving before his wedding. Call me old fashioned, but why call it a “groom” if no actual grooming is required? Of course, there’s the distinct possibility that the term derives from the manner of grooming more commonly associated with a stable, in which case I would stand corrected.

I grew up in the foothills of the Applachians, in Perry County, Ohio. In the summer I would run into the cornfield to relieve myself, rather than risk being bitten by a snake in the two-seated outhouse that served as my family’s only commode. (I’ve sinced gotten over my phobia of snakes and in fact keep three of them in my apartment for companionship and protection.) My mother was married in her Loretta Lynn-esque prom dress because a) her family couldn’t afford a fancy new dress from the department store in town, and b) my grandpa insisted on the poetic justice of his only daughter slinking down the aisle in the garment she got knocked up in. Why you rich folk spend hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to recreate that tragic scene is beyond me.

    P.S. The sausages look good.

  25. Everything seems perfect in this wedding. Every one may get this perfection in their wedding ceremony.

  26. This was one of the most beautifully designed weddings we have played. Great party!, and glad to have been there.

  27. This wedding was in one word, *perfect.* Fabulous ceremony and party and glad to have been a part!

  28. All the details were incredible and having a wedding at their home only added to the creativity and beauty of each lovingly crafted detail. Awesome paper goods too!!

  29. Beautiful and classy, I love the flower hair piece. So much prettier than a traditional bling tiara!

  30. wonderful table decorations and sumptuous foods!

  31. The wedding dress is stunning!

  32. all the paper products in this wedding are gorgeous!

  33. Dear Mother of the Bride,
Your dress is beautiful, may I ask where I might find it???
    Lovely wedding!
side note: I met Vinnie a few times at Jeanne Newmans in LA. Small world!
