We are getting married at the House for an Art Lover in Glasgow July 1, 2010. I am whimsical and he is more streamlined. I would love to incorporate the tradition of the tartan plaids (since he will be wearing a kilt) and my whimsical nature. I have red flowery shoes and a classic twenties dress already picked out! We are both architects and love art and would love our personalities to be reflected. so i think the theme would be ” A Twist on T(art)an and Tulle”

My husband wore his family’s tartan as well and I planned quite a bit around that. A kilt company in Scotland sewed finished strips of his tartan which I use to tie programs together and name tags to favors/seat assignments. I thought my mother might kill me as we tied all night, but it looked sharp. Also had my bouquet tied with it. It was not all that expensive if memory serves and you can use the fabric in lots of different ways. Good luck to Melissa and her beau.
Lovely! Where can I find a set of color swatches like those above? I’d like to do the same for my own wedding planning, and haven’t found a source online where I can grab color samples - simply for my vision board. thanks!!
