Williams-Sonoma is amazing. You don’t need us to tell you that, but sometimes it’s nice to be reminded. Their artfully curated stores, stocked with the bestest culinary necessities make you want to drop everything you’re doing and bury yourself in the joys of cooking and entertaining for the rest of your days. Or at least that’s how we feel. And since getting married usually includes a registry full of your most lusted after items for the home, Williams-Sonoma is the perfect place to set up a wishlist to outfit your kitchen handsomely. How many times in your life are you going to get to tell people exactly what you want, and then actually have said items appear on your doorstep?

For instance, no kitchen would be complete without a Kitchen Aid stand mixer and a Cuisinart food processor. Yes they’re both necessary and serve different but entirely essential purposes.

And might we recommend a Le Creuset French oven for bubbling glorious stews on the stove whilst cozying up to your new hubs?

You can always use a big beautiful cutting board for actually chopping things, but it also makes a lovely cheeseboard for a party.

And then there’s the hundreds of little kitchen tools and gadgets that make cooking so much more fun. Cannot recommend a microplane grater and a hand juicer enough. Plus if you’re a composter, their countertop buckets are perfect for keeping scraps undercover. And gorgeous French linens make even a weekday dinner for two feel more special.

So how does the $250 giveaway work?

First you need to visit Williams-Sonoma.com to create your registry.

Next leave a comment here to let us know that you created your reg.

We’re so excited to be guest judging the Minted Design Challenge along with Vane of Brooklyn Bride. With so many amazing designs and over 500 entries it’s been hard to narrow down our favorites to our top 6. But, as you know there needs to be a winner. This is where your help comes into play. We’d love to know who your favorite is to help us make our top choice!

We’ve numbered the invites below and if you’d be so kind, please leave a comment with the invites that you think are the cutest or most creative.

Thanks!

Update: Thanks so much for all your votes. They’ve been extremely helpful so by overwhelming majority we’ve chosen #4 Fireflies Wedding Invitation by Paige Rothhaar, which was our personal favorite as well. Thanks again for all your votes.

Juliet is the next lucky winner of our colorboard contest. We loved reading about her unique wedding venue (airplane hangar, really? woweee) and theme. Read what she has to say about their fun plans for their wedding below…

From Juliet:

We are getting married and having the reception in a very unique venue. We have chosen to marry in the airplane hangar of the Kansas City Airline History Museum, essentially a large domed warehouse, where we will be surrounded by restored 1930’s and 1940’s airplanes, along with a beautiful view of downtown Kansas City through the hangar doors. We met on an airplane, so this venue reflects that as well as our love of history museums (my favorite places!) Also, my fiance’s grandfather worked for TWA for years, and TWA was once based out of the downtown airport where the museum now is, so the museum features lots of TWA stuff including a large restored plane exactly like one his grandfather once flew.

I want the wedding (likely in spring) to have a 1940’s dance hall/block party theme, with lots of paper streamers, globe lights, flag bunting, and tissue balls and fans. Think over-decorated 1942 New Year’s Lion’s Club dance. There is a large dance floor is the middle of the hangar, and the reception will be centered around it. I would love to incorporate airplane/TWA stuff (his grandmother has quite the stash), but I want to keep a vintage feel without it becoming a USO/military theme. Because the venue is SO big, it can really be decorated like an outdoor ceremony. I want to make the large warehouse feel cozier with tons of fun, kitschy, vintage decorations, but Im afraid if I go with very bright colors it could look too overwhelming and cluttered. Im so excited about this idea, and I hope I am lucky enough to be chosen to get your input!
