Let’s just start by saying that Eunice is Hello!Lucky’s Creative Director. Mmmkay… obviously her wedding is stunning. And featured in the spring 2010 Martha Stewart Weddings. And somehow we are lucky enough to be able to post it here too. It really is just delicious. Eunice of course went crazy with the wedding crafting - including the invites, dress, stage (STAGE!) and loads of handmade details. She had tons of help from her sister/maid of honor/Hello!Lucky co-founder Sabrina and a bunch of super talented friends, especially Because We Can, who built the stage and all sorts of fun props.

Now we start:

Her dress was made by Iain Harris Barlett, a friend who also runs their London office. Amazing, no? There are a few more shots further down. It’s pretty much epic. Oh and the venue is Wilbur Hot Springs in Northern California. Very magical!

Her headpiece is Jennifer Behr, and available online here.

Colors are so lovely. As is the Tim Walker inspired parade leading to the ceremony. Because We Can made the shadow puppets, and Eunice and crew hand painted and edged each in gold.

100lc_rweunicedaniel4

Um stage? Amazing. Again made by Because We Can.

We have another super sweet (and very budget friendly) wedding for yous this Friday. First a bit about Kate and Jordan’s story. They met when they were both members of local bands. Kate’s band was organizing music festival and she asked Jordan if his band might wanted to take part. He said yes, and the rest is pretty much summed up in the photos below. Isn’t that so cute?

Their whole day is filled with a light-hearted whimsy (and games!) that reflects their personalities perfectly. They knew they wanted their wedding to be sweet, playful, and eco-friendly. They chose a lavender farm on Vashon Island a small fleck in the ocean near Seattle and accessible only by ferry… which is where Jordan grew up. They knew when they saw the farm that it would be perfect, and help them stay within their $8,000 budget since the 700 lavender plants provided loads of charming decor on their own.

100lc_kj2

The flowers came from the farmer’s market, Kate collected vintage linens from thrift stores, and friends and family rallied in the kitchen to bake blueberry pies. Plus they bought a 100 year old pipe organ on Craigslist for their ceremony music. The couple they bought it from had been married 43 years and played the same organ at their wedding. Love.

Sno-Kone stand with organic pomegranate, grapefruit, and ginger ale flavors? We’ll take all three, please.

Then comes the games, which make every event, especially a wedding, soooo much fun! They’re pretty self explanatory but, um bouncy house? We haven’t seen that one yet. Genius.

Let’s finish up the week with a completely adorable and super fun backyard wedding in Malibu… including a day after shoot with horses and a pool. It kind of looks like it’s not real because it’s so incredibly cute, but we promise it is.

Anna and Ryan bought all of their flowers at the LA Flower Mart and had friends and family help arrange them into misc glassware found at thrift stores around town.

100lc_rwmichellek9

For favors they made mix CDs and gave little bags of their favorite candy, gummy bears. And to spice up the tables, they bought 5 different fabrics and had a napkin making party one afternoon with a handful of friends. After the wedding they gave sets to close family and friends… hopefully the same ones who helped make them!

We love super sweet weddings like this… simple, heartfelt and all about the couple (with a few cute details thrown in, of course). You don’t have to go crazy to make your wedding memorable, not that we blame you if you can’t help yourself.

Congrats Anna and Ryan! You have so many amazing photos to print and frame. We hope you dedicate a wall in your house to your lovely day.

On Valentines Day Scott and Jillian were notified that friends of friends were having a secret wedding in Central Park but had no photographer. Although it was Valentines Day and all they wanted to do was be together they also thought this would be such an important moment that deserved documentation. And what better way to spend the day than to witness love first hand.

The couple would like their names to remain anonymous so they’ll be going by Lady J and Mister E.

With Central Park blanketed in snow and the sun shining it was the perfect weather for their celebration. For the ceremony they picked a spot that overlooked the Lake under Bow Bridge. There seemed to be a few other celebrations happening in the park yesterday. Go figure!

Lady J is super into vespas and the color red so Sarah of Blossom & Branch created a boutonnière and bouquet that reflected their unique sense of style.

Mister E also fixes up Vespas and is quite crafty. He made these wooden rings in honor of their day. We love that if you’re in love there’s no reason to wait for the “perfect” ring. This was such a thoughtful gesture.

Lady J and Mister E thank you so much for being such a lovely and generous couple who radiated such love. We wish you all the best.

Did anyone else witness a wedding over the weekend or have a surprise proposal?

Dress & cardigan: Anthropologie
Red boots: Vintage
Polka dot tie: found in Seattle

Cori and E.B. planned a classic city wedding at San Francisco’s City Hall. We do love a good city hall wedding, San Francisco in particular. They’re city people who love architecture, signage, hotels, bridges, and brick. They live in LA, but retreat to SF for weekend getaways which gives them a sweet romantic attachment to the city. And it is a beautiful city… perfect for a modern, vintage-inspired wedding.

100lc_rwcori-eb1

Cori and EB area both graphic designers so of course they made their invites themselves.

100lc_rwcori-eb1a

For favors, they gave guests (along with a goody bag stacked with quintessential SF treats) vintage SF postcards from the forties packaged in glassine bags. The best part was reading correspondence the original recipients had read about a friend’s trip to SF way back then.

After their intimate ceremony at City Hall, the wedding party hopped on a classic cable car (tour guide included!) and headed to the historic Tadich Grill for toasts and lunch.

100lc_rwcori-eb9

Where EB surprised Cori with a vintage rolex on a plate of oysters. Cute wedding pressie!

100lc_rwcori-eb10

They they headed to Crissy field for some outdoor photos with the bridge in the background, and then onto the Mission for more photo ops. Since their whole wedding party (guests included) was 10 people, they had plenty of time to talk and enjoy the day with everyone.

100lc_rwcori-eb11

Finally, they finished the evening with a big meal at RN74.

What a fun and memorable way to spend your wedding day…touring the city you love with your closest family and friends.

Thanks so much for sharing, Cori and EB!
