And now for something completely different! (From our wedding yesterday, we mean.) Ben and Laura from Weddings by Two sent us this beautifully shot wedding, including photos from their new Tin Type camera. Aren’t they amazing?

Love how simply gorgeous this celebration was. Nothing fussy or over wrought, just elemental elegance. And the fashion is pretty perfect too. How great is the suited bride’s sock and shoe combo?

Thanks Ben for sending this to us! Your new camera is fantastic! Also, take a peek at the super 8 wedding film of Sari & Holly’s wedding, shot by the uber talented Meghan of Hello Super 8. So dreamy!

And congratulations Sari and Holly! You two looked amazing.

Words are failing us this fine Monday morning, Cakelets. Anything we could write wouldn’t do justice to this wedding masterpiece. And Artemis, truly a goddess if you ask us, explains everything on her super sweet blog Tales of a Junkaholic.

We’ll just give you a quick recap and then you can enjoy the photos without our commentary. They did EVERYTHING themselves. Everything. Liberty fabric bunting, homemade UNREAL cake, thrifted and vintage details (like a giant clamshell to chill proseco!), handmade invites, DIY flowers, details everywhere. And the bride’s dress, vintage 1931 for £2.99, totally reworked for her.

Wait. Two more words: Wedding Tent.

We could keep going, but honestly, Artemis explains it better herself.

Okay seriously… just look for yourselves:

Ceremony venue: Appuldurcrombe House, Isle of Wight
Reception venue: Afton Park Apple Orchard

See? (They actually slept in their wedding tent, for the record.)

Photography: Artemis (the lovely bride) and Bib (her bro) Russell

Full recap, lots more gorgeous photos, and all details explained here.

This is the stuff dreams are made of, girls…a fairy-princess-gets-married-to-prince-charming-in-the-magical-forest type wedding. Nature-loving couple Carrie and Eric chose an enchanting riverside cabin nestled in Forks, Washington (yes, the same place from the Twilight books!) for their amazing ceremony that was eco-friendly, gorgeous, and completely whimsical – all that’s missing are the birds and deer singing and dancing, but with all the wonderful details, we don’t think you’ll miss ‘em.

The entire event was done with as little impact to the planet as possible – using compostable material, live herb centerpieces, even guests camping out along the river. These two obviously have a very high appreciation for nature, not to mention a fantastic sense of style.

Carrie, who works for organic gardening non-profit Seattle Tilth, opted for using twine-tied bunches of lavender as bouquets – a quixotic and aesthetically pleasing alternative.  And, they served lavender lemonade (with vodka!) at the reception – how delicious does that sound?  We’ll take two.

Is there anything more magical than tying the knot smack in the middle of nature?  That sunlight coming through the trees is so, so gorgeous.

Each of the tables were named after herbs and spices and featured live herb centerpieces, which made for a very fragrant reception. Guests were able to take their centerpieces home with them, along with the perfectly paired hand-painted river rocks – so cute and different!

IN LOVE with this masculine sunset shot of Eric holding Carrie in the river – so romantic and dreamy! Beautifully done you guys!

Ladies, today we have the most perfect daytime summer wedding to bring a smile to your face. Everything about Roma and Blaine’s event is cheerful, bright, and dripping with sunshine, right down to the location – beautiful San Luis Obispo in the heart of California, where the bride grew up.

We’ve never loved the color yellow more than we do right now – the house, the shoes, the sunflowers, the adorable signage… sigh. Roma made the invites herself, not to mention creating her own bouquet and all the floral arrangements. Quite a talent you’ve got little lady!

Roma and Blaine wanted more of a family reunion feel than a traditional wedding, so they opted to walk the aisle together. After the ceremony, they toasted their guests and then their guests toasted to newly married couple. With mimosas, naturally – this was a morning affair, after all!

This sofa-tree-swing is a creative and cozy photo-op spot – we need more of this!

No wine country wedding would be complete without picturesque tables full of fabulous wine, champagne, and lush greenery.

The perfect way to end a fun daytime wedding?  Lawn dancing with a live band, of course!

Loving every bit of it, Roma & Blaine – such a luminous and lovely wedding. Congratulations!

The creatively-charged details of Rosemary and Micah’s big day, along with the supreme talents of photog Erin Hearts Court, make this wedding one event you can’t help but adore.  We’re amazed at the amount of intricately crafted little tidbits, including handmade pinwheels (gorgeous, for real), ceramic bouquet tags and fly-fishing embellished boutonnieres, all inspired by their color palette of corals, peaches, golds and blues – the essence of California in the springtime!

The ceremony took place in the Little Bridges music hall at Pomona College, the tiny Southern California liberal arts college that both bride and groom both attended, followed by a glowing reception in the campus ballroom, built in the 1930s.  So perfect.

The ring-on-the-sweet photo is cuter than words, not to mention that exquisite bouquet, complete with ceramic tags made by the bride!

Rosemary handknit this gorgeous chuppah for their ceremony using Micah’s grandmother’s vintage linen napkins.  Micah got into the DIY-action and made the chuppah poles – truly a labor of love that will live on forever.  So, so romantic.

We’re totally impressed by Rosmary, who cranked her creativity to the max and crafted all the paper goods including signage, cocktail flags and programs.  She also made paper lanterns using using scanned prints of matching fabric found in the LA garment district.  Amazing!

This is such a fantastic idea for notes from guests – and how fun it must have been to read them!

If you’re like us, you may need to stop for a sec to take in this beautiful shot.  The uber-talented bride handmade (of course) these gorgeous pinwheels – so imaginative and playful!  Not to mention, that dessert table…. full of cakes, pies and about a gajillion varieties of cookie, made by the groom’s cousin.

Rosemary, who has a love for pottery, also made some delightful vases that were mixed in with mason jars to make these lavishly sweet centerpieces.

Looks like a match made in heaven.  Congrats Rosemary and Micah, on your marriage and on a beautiful event!
