Let’s just start by saying that Eunice is Hello!Lucky’s Creative Director. Mmmkay… obviously her wedding is stunning. And featured in the spring 2010 Martha Stewart Weddings. And somehow we are lucky enough to be able to post it here too. It really is just delicious. Eunice of course went crazy with the wedding crafting - including the invites, dress, stage (STAGE!) and loads of handmade details. She had tons of help from her sister/maid of honor/Hello!Lucky co-founder Sabrina and a bunch of super talented friends, especially Because We Can, who built the stage and all sorts of fun props.

Now we start:

Her dress was made by Iain Harris Barlett, a friend who also runs their London office. Amazing, no? There are a few more shots further down. It’s pretty much epic. Oh and the venue is Wilbur Hot Springs in Northern California. Very magical!

Her headpiece is Jennifer Behr, and available online here.

Colors are so lovely. As is the Tim Walker inspired parade leading to the ceremony. Because We Can made the shadow puppets, and Eunice and crew hand painted and edged each in gold.

100lc_rweunicedaniel4

Um stage? Amazing. Again made by Because We Can.

On Valentines Day Scott and Jillian were notified that friends of friends were having a secret wedding in Central Park but had no photographer. Although it was Valentines Day and all they wanted to do was be together they also thought this would be such an important moment that deserved documentation. And what better way to spend the day than to witness love first hand.

The couple would like their names to remain anonymous so they’ll be going by Lady J and Mister E.

With Central Park blanketed in snow and the sun shining it was the perfect weather for their celebration. For the ceremony they picked a spot that overlooked the Lake under Bow Bridge. There seemed to be a few other celebrations happening in the park yesterday. Go figure!

Lady J is super into vespas and the color red so Sarah of Blossom & Branch created a boutonnière and bouquet that reflected their unique sense of style.

Mister E also fixes up Vespas and is quite crafty. He made these wooden rings in honor of their day. We love that if you’re in love there’s no reason to wait for the “perfect” ring. This was such a thoughtful gesture.

Lady J and Mister E thank you so much for being such a lovely and generous couple who radiated such love. We wish you all the best.

Did anyone else witness a wedding over the weekend or have a surprise proposal?

Polka dot tie: found in Seattle

I am so excited to be here for the week on one of my favorite wedding blogs! This week I’ll be sharing a little but about where I am in my stage of wedding planning and the things that are inspiring me right now.

To give you a little background information, Brian and I have been engaged for almost a year and a half so far, and we’ll be getting married this July at Battery Gardens here in New York City. That means we have just a little over five months left to go, and there is plenty to do.

One of the things we’re trying to figure out right now is what Brian and the Groomsmen will be wearing. I should mention that the bridesmaids attire has been figured out for a while. They’ll be wearing Jenny Yoo’s Phoebe in Navy. And they’ll each be wearing their own, brightly colored shoes. So we need to pick out something that will complement them.

Neither one of us would consider ourselves fashionistas by any means, but we also don’t want to go the traditional black tux, colored vest and tie route either. Our wedding is a daytime ceremony so we want it to be a little less formal, and we’re not all that traditional anyway. So we’ve both been scouring the web to get ideas. Here’s a few examples of what we’re liking right now.

What will your grooms be wearing?

Jennifer Rau sent over this adorable, vintagey rockabilly wedding in the Arizona desert that she recently shot. Many cute details to inspire y’all. And the bride’s dress is quite lovely. And fancy. We do love a fancy dress. And a casual one too, but in this case fancy dress + tattoos + converse on the groomsmen is pretty darn cute.

Michonne’s dress is Carolina Herrera… and one that she nearly didn’t try on because she KNEW it would be out of her price range. Except it ended up being the store model that was on sale and she got a killer deal. Sometimes things are meant to be.

As Michonne says, they wanted to have a super rad wedding, with a hotrod/vintage/rockabilly meets family reunion theme. Mike and his groomsmen brought the rockabilly and hotrod elements (most of them build their own hotrods in their free time) and she and her girls brought the vintage flair. With plenty of little DIY projects mixed in.

Michonne’s mom made her little pleated ribbon bracelet. She wanted something that would resemble the detail of her dress, but not detract from it. Mom stepped in and took over that project and also ended up making her veil. Good mom.

The bride is also a quilter and so obviously has an obsession with prints and patterns and lovely fabrics. Naturally, she sewed her own napkins for the reception, which became a perfect little gift for her guests. Some didn’t end up taking theirs so a select few got a perfect 4 piece set. Lovely how it all works out.

She printed the favor tags from Betsy White as a nice addition to her favors. Way to use internet resources Michonne!

Cupcakes made the night before and frosted the day of by Mom, aunt, and another family friend. Michonne made the beautiful little fabric flowers that decorated the tables.

100lc_rwmichonnemike12

And the cake was a surprise for Mike. They baked his grandma’s banana cake, with professional icing done by Michonne’s aunt last minute. Turns out she used to work in a pastry shop and had kept her handy talent hidden up until the wedding day!

Such a great wedding you guys! Congratulations and thank so much for sharing.

This real wedding shot by Charlotte Jenks Lewis is ALL about the fashion. Is that dress not the most beautifully sparkly art deco thing ever? And the bridesmaids in their huge grey sequins? Fancy schmancy.
