We gotta say, we’re loving all the airtime elopements are getting as of late. There are so many ways to make intimate weddings personal and special, just like Brady Rushing did when styling this earthy, minimal vignette for Kristin + Dillon over at Knapp’s Castle in Santa Barbara. Hailey Golich + Hannah Rose Gray worked together to capture dreamy lighting and thoughtful deets:
Enamored with these timeless invites by BNB Calligraphy, aren’t you? They were created with handmade paper and vellum, and sealed with an olive branch wax seal.
Brady says, Hailey Golich and Hannah Rose Gray both captured this elopement to show the importance of choosing a photographer for your special day. With slightly different styles, each photographer captures the day in varying degrees of tones, emotions, and details. Hailey shoots to capture the spirit of the couple, along with some of the smallest details of the day; showing the timelessness of the event, as well as the emotions shed into the couple’s magical day. Hannah captures the beauty of the light that surrounds the couple, chasing the sun and the fleeting emotions that the couple feels as they begin their new life together.
The team was inspired by neutral hues and the textures of Italy, bringing in blush pinks, shades of gold, dusty eucalyptus, and soft grey.
Alexis of Alexis Ireland Florals designed a eucalyptus garland to be draped along one of the castle arches, along with a stunning bouquet filled with soft and romantic tones and florals. With Kristin’s blush gown flowing in the wind, the fabric danced along with the hills. Seeing her walk along the castle’s ruins was as if the fabric of her gown and the silk ribbons from her bouquet were dancing along with her.
Knapp’s Castle sure is one beautiful spot, with its views of the Santa Ynez and San Rafael Mountains.
