Happy Friday, Cakies! Thought we’d end the week with a few photos from the Cinco De Mayo Pop-Up Shop we hosted at our new space, Festoon LA, last weekend. It was so pretty!! And it was all thanks to the lovely women behind Luna Zorro, Ara Collective, and Lola y Tula who styled our space in their lovely goods so expertly. Thankfully our friend and studio-mate Marisa Vitale was there to capture the details so we could show you if ya missed it.
Megan from Honey and Poppies killed it (as usual) with the flowers. And our friend Steph from A Dapper Line dressed up our windows with her hand lettering.
Shout out to The Little Market for the cute favor bags and Half-Seas Sparkling Cocktails for supplying the Paloma!
Believe it or not this is a workspace during the week! Dresses up nicely.
Molly from Luna Zorro lives with her family in Guatemala and shoots all these photos herself, to celebrate the women artisans she works with on her collection. Aren’t they beautiful? They’re available through Minted.
The front side of our kitchen build-out is coming along… minus the plywood counter. But those Sarah Sherman Samuel doors and pulls from Semihandmade and Park Studio are so good! More peeks as you scroll.
Seriously though, that bed.
And the papel picado banners from Mesa Chic made the space so festive!
We set a pretty table using these napkins and this striped throw, and this otomi runner… basically our plan for every Cinco De Mayo from now until forever.
Hi-eeeeee! (We got all new doors and windows installed across the front yesterday, BTW.)
With the lovely ladies from Ara Collective, Luna Zorro, and Loly y Tula!
If you missed the event last weekend, 1) you should totally come to the next one, and 2) you should browse through the beautiful artisan made goods these fine ladies create and sell with women in Latin America. ‘Cause women-owned businesses forever!
