Cakies, do you attend any creative workshops in your area? This ‘craft and cocktails’ series at loft venue Union/Pine in Portland has us dreaming up a girls’ night of our own. Tasty sips and treats, a new craft—in this case, block printing—and a gorgeous space to get inspired by… What better way to spend an eve or Sunday brunch?
Needless to say, these photos Olivia Strohm Photography shared could totally inspire a gorgeous bridal shower or dinner party, too!
Summer of Union/Pine says, While planning our quarterly staff happy hour, we came up with the idea of doing a ‘craft + cocktail’ party in our new venue to make it a bit more of a fun and festive experience. We brought in the lovely Skye McNeill of Orozco Design to lead our lady crew in a block printing session and use the excuse to test our winter cocktail menu and enjoy the coziness of our furnished ‘Loft’ space.
These vegan donuts from Doe Donuts sure look tasty.
We like to say that Union/Pine a ‘social space’ that has been designed to cultivate and inspire community and culture. In addition to hosting an exciting range of weddings and events, we also host our own events, from pop up markets to meet ups focused on activism and mom taboos, and we seek out nonprofits to support in fundraisers and outreach. Above all, we’ve crafted our venue—now inclusive of the upstairs ‘Loft’ space, which comes fully furnished and decorated—as a place to celebrate creativity, love, and a really good time.
This time around, their craft + cocktails concept focused on block printing. They also plan to cover embroidery, macrame, weaving and more down the road.
So neat, right?
Super envious of these gals’ style, too. Thanks to Union/Pine + Olivia Strohm for sharing!
