Remember that fairytale reception entrance we shared on IG awhile back? Well, it’s about to get so. much. better, thanks to Pablo Laguia + Paloma Cruz Eventos, who shared the rest of this gorgeous Spain destination wedding with us. High school sweethearts Ju + Aaron found each other at age 15, started a fashion label in Malaysia, and both fell in love with the history, people, and culture of Spain during their travels. 15 years later, they tied the knot in the 16th century Palacio de Villa Hermosa, with 50 guests who traveled for their elegant nuptials. Dreamy is a pretty big understatement here, we must say!
Just waiting for the day when we can visit Palacio de Villa Hermosa in Zaragoza ourselves…
This classic, backless Pronovias gown with a lace appliqué bodice and tulle ball skirt was just one of the timeless looks Ju put together for her wedding day. She paired it with a 3-meter lace hem veil by Stesha Ho. She wanted something she could look back on in 30 years and still love, and this was it!
On the bridesmaids… As lovers of fashion, my partner and I started a fashion label in Malaysia called Duchess & Co. The label’s design concept is feminine, timeless and unique ready-to-wear looks for women. I wanted my bridesmaids to look gorgeous and in-theme so I designed a floral bridesmaid dress for the 9 of them. The print on the dress is in-house designed and inspired by autumn which was the season we got married in. The print was also inspired by nature as the leaves start to turn into the red autumn leaves and the chirping song birds are starting to migrate. The thoughtful print was then used to create a tiered maxi dress fitted at the waist with a halter neck design and picot hem detailing on all edges for the finishing of the dress. The dress even had pockets in the first chiffon tier of the skirt so the bridesmaids could put any necessities for the day. The bridesmaid dresses were designed as the perfect cohesiveness for the garden theme wedding that we had in the palace gardens.
Love how the ceremony decor doubles as *the* perfect place for portraits afterward!
The wedding decorations by Paloma Cruz were perfect. For the wedding ceremony, the aisle was a perfect blend of pink roses, white orchids, pampas and garlands that made it absolutely romantic without being over the top. The wedding arch was a unique idea that they came up with—it was a geode design of crystals which matched the idea of the crystal Zcova souvenirs we gave to our guests. The geode backdrop was completed with artful placements of flowers.
For the reception, they laid the table out at the grand walk of the palace, with the palace as the backdrop. They decorated the table with floral garlands and candle, and brought everything together with a tunnel of fairy lights. So dreamy!
Who wouldn’t want to be a guest at this magical celebration?!
So beyond pretty! Congrats, Ju + Aaron!
