We gotta say, the 100LC inboxes are pretty magical come November. We start to see winter weddings and get super inspired for all our friends planning to say I Do during this most festive season. One such couple is Aana + Jeremy, who have the most amazing winter wedding style you’ll ever see. From her sequin wedding dress to a bridal party full of white jumpsuits and vintage fur coats, their classic style was just made for a wedding in November. Scroll on for more photos of their urban Cincinnati wedding as captured by Christy Akemon & Josh Kramer of Eleven11Photo:
Gah, aren’t Aana’s bridesmaids so perfectly coordinated with her winter wedding look? They all chose different jumpsuits (some even purchased secondhand!) and festive shoes and outwear.
The bride tells it, The city of Cincinnati is going through a real renaissance right now. I used to go there as a kid with my parents to University of Cincinnati football games, and always had a skewed perception of the city. Now that my parents live there full time and I visit as an adult it’s been really fun to get to know the city all over again. The Transept is a restored church in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. The neighborhood is full of beautiful buildings and developers have done a great job at retaining their original look. Our venue, was one of those buildings. It was the perfect balance of old and new. The entire wedding happened in the building, from getting ready, to cocktails, to the reception, and at every phase of the wedding you felt like you were traveling to a new place.
The all-white wedding flowers by Eve Floral Co. included white dendrobium orchid, miniature calla lily, anthurium, and white phalaenopsis orchid with jasmine vine, leather leaf, bay leaf, and aralia leaf.
Aana chose the Cora Gown by Elaya Vaughn and OMG, what a stunner. It’s a matte sequin wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline and cross-bodice drape. So dreamy!
Aana’s grandfather had given this vintage rabbit fur jacket to her grandmother, and when she passed he gave it to Aana’s mom who gave it to her to wear on the big day. Her ‘maids collected their own vintage coats to pair with it.
Our wedding style is a lot like our personal style. We like things to be simple, classic, and relaxed. I’m all about a good trend, but ensuring that we weren’t going to look back at our photos 30 years from now and wonder what we were thinking was really key. Because it was winter we played up the warm whites and greens. We used a lot of soft lights and candles throughout the ceremony and reception to give off more of those cozy vibes. The music for the ceremony was also very intentional. We wanted it to reflect who we were as a couple, the way we felt about each other, and the celebratory tone we wanted to set for the day.
Wedding music
Party Walk: Ernie K-Doe, Here Come The Girls
Bridal Procession: David Bowie, Soul Love
Recessional: Stevie Wonder, Signed, Sealed, Delivered
Our most memorable moment from the day was immediately after the ceremony. You’ve just spent the entire day getting ready, taking photos, and anticipating this one moment and it finally happened. We took some time to just look out over the empty ceremony space as revel in everything that had just happened. It was a great moment for reflection for the two of us.
Cheers, Aana + Jeremy! We so dig your winter wedding style.
