Chic wedding theme alert: Fall Irish Vogue. Seriously, don’t those three words make you want to dive right into these shots Purple Tree Photography sent our way? Not only is their epic venue, the Luttrellstown Castle in Dublin, absolutely breathtaking when surrounded by autumn leaves, these two also have a flair for classic European elegance and an eye for style. So yeah, we kinda had to pack as many photos as possible into this one!
On the venue, Jenya says, We knew immediately this was it, the castle is just so stunning inside and out: the gates, the drive leading to it, the perfectly manicured grounds, and the exact amount of bedrooms as we had family and bridal party members! Steven also fell in love with a faux ‘bookshelf door’ in the library and kept on going in and out fascinated. When we arrived in London later that day and announced the venue choice, his mom was excited to share, “When Steven was a little boy she’s taken him to the castle and there used to be this fake bookshelf-like door in the library that he kept on going in and out, in and out of.” Magic!
It goes without saying that we’re big fans of this gilded gold and sugar flower wedding cake by Cupcakes & Counting over here. Their main color was marsala, accented by peach + blush, which you can see in all the little details throughout.
Jenya + her stylish maids of honor designed cheongsam dresses together and had them custom made in Hong Kong, where she also found her incredible Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dream gown.
This crew knows how to do fall in Ireland, that’s for sure.
We hired an exceptional wedding planner—Waterlily Weddings—to help us put the day together. We had an absolutely amazing time planning the wedding: lit candles, played music, drank wine, danced, brainstormed ideas, it truly was a magical year of preparations and we would recommend other couples to enjoy and take their time planning as it goes by too fast!
Love the elegant European feel of this blue + gold tablescape.
Our brilliant photographers at Purple Tree Photography made a last-minute executive decision to turn off the chandeliers in the dining room and leave only the candle light. The result was a dark, incredibly romantic, sparkly room of shining smiles, and with the bagpipe playing, entering as Mr and Mrs was so emotional and absolutely magical!
We gotta say, we wouldn’t mind more castle weddings popping up in the 100LC inbox. So magical. All the best to Jenya + Steven!
