Tina + Aaron were all about the neutrals for their Los Angeles wedding. They love a good industrial-rustic vibe (which Smoky Hollow Studios clearly delivered) but wanted to soften it a bit with romantic details. All without the bright or uber-feminine color palette we’re used to seeing.
Well, mixed neutrals was the way to go—along with hints of the blushiest of blushes and just a little gold—as the venue offered the ideal moody contrast to their ethereal palette. Gipe Photography shares the photos below!
The bride’s sister-in-law Elaine Yen designed these lovely white invites that Maude Press letter press printed.
So many good moody spots for portraits at this venue!
How gorgeous is Tina’s champagne-y, creamy, blushy bridal party? As fun as it was for everyone to shop for their own dresses, it was actually quite a challenge for each gal to find the perfect one. A couple of them didn’t have their dresses until the month of the wedding!
The bridal bouquet by Sparkles & Vintage had all neutral and blush flowers, sprayed gold greenery, spray roses, bunny tail, wheat and dried accents.
On their DIY projects: We purchased nude colored chiffon fabric by the yard to make into table runners by simply tearing off the ends. The raw, unfinished edges worked with the aged, rustic tables. We used the same fabric to wrap the bridal bouquet. We had some leftover fabric that we were able to use as ribbons for the acrylic place cards. We didn’t do a huge wedding cake. Instead we served egg tarts (my husband’s favorite dessert). But we still had a cake cutting moment at the wedding by having a small 6” cake, purchased from a local bakery. Our florist added some flowers on top and we had a cake topper made to personalize the cake.
The venue provided the table and chairs and was designed in the rustic-meets-industrial style they loved, so they kept the decor pretty light.
For those of you who want to serve a different dessert but still have a cake cutting moment, why not order a small cake you can personalize with flowers and a topper? So cute!
Cheers to the happy couple!
