Jen + Dan’s wedding has “relaxed elegance” written all over it. They used to work for a safari company and lived in tents in Botswana and Zimbabwe for much of the time, so a wedding theme that encompassed the outdoors + camp-vibes totally inspired them. Luckily they found a killer venue, Sagewood Farm, with a tent and barn to get kick off the design.

Her bouquet recipe: Juliet garden roses, coral dahlias, white lisianthus, white freesia, hypercium berries, and eucalyptus, with stems wrapped in twine.
They fell in love with Sagewood’s open corn/soy bean field, honeymoon tent, vintage vehicles, ceremony space, and the outdoor bar that connected to the barn, to name a few features. (Whew, there’s a lot to love about this place!)
Jen tells it, A picturesque outdoor space for ceremony and cocktails was a must. We wanted to give our guests a different experience, something very cozy with a lot of character.
April of Olive Studio says, Each table was decorated with items that the owner of the barn had collected over years of antiquing. Glassware, china teacups, vintage silverware, various milk glass items and vintage salt and peppershakers filled the long harvest tables. Flowers were arranged in vintage boxes and in silver teapots. Each chair was different as was each teacup and saucer. Every single detail was thoughtfully considered, making guests feel like part of this vintage fairytale.
Would you believe J + D planned the wedding in under 3 months?! They enlisted the help of Alexandra from Blush & Bowties to make it happen. She did the planning, designing, and lots of DIYing.
