Welcome back, Cakelets! We think starting September off with an elegant and small 15 guest family wedding by Braedon Flynn and a special giveaway (later today), sounds perfect, yes? With breathtaking gardens for an intimate ceremony and gorgeous portraits, and a stonehouse dining room, we totally get why Michelle + Andy fell in love with San Ysidro Ranch… and why they plan on going back every year for their anniversary. Side note: we love that idea of going back and staying at the place you got married at!
My favorite part of our wedding was that is was small. I could really enjoy the day and not be pulled in different directions. I was so relaxed and felt like I was on vacation! I loved being able to spend the morning of the wedding with my sister, nieces, Mom and Grandma getting ready. That was such a special time to share with them. San Ysidro Ranch was also one of the best decisions we made. It’s gorgeous and so us.
I love being crafty and having a small wedding let me do some things myself without getting overwhelemed. I made my niece Madeline’s pomander ball to carry down the aisle with rose petals sachets and tags.
San Ysidro Ranch is already so beautiful, I didn’t want to do too much and take away from the gorgeous surroundings. I wanted to keep the wedding elegant but nothing fussy. I tend to go for classic decor, so I had a lot of white florals, with rosemary and lavender to mimic the gardens at the ranch, chandeliers and lots of candles.
Congratulations Michelle + Andy!
