Hello, most enchanting reception setup! This shot by the talented Raquel Benito was taken at La Marina de Pedreña, a yacht club in Spain that doesn’t normally host weddings. But M + P first met while sailing (he’s a sailor) and they always knew that their wedding would one day reflect both where they met, and their shared passion for the sea… even if it meant transporting 180 guests by boat to this very spot!
This show stopper of a bridal gown is by Luis Alonso Modista, for all you already wondering…
Planner + designer Wendy of Bodas de Cuento tells it, The venue resembled the silhouette of a boat and we transformed it into a space where a cocktail dinner took place with no assigned seats, which encouraged everyone to talk to everyone. All the guests gathered in groups, creating a very charming atmosphere. We designed lighting with Edison bulbs and hanging plants, which matched perfectly with sailor stripes and mason jars with Austin roses, hydrangeas and gypsophila.
Yum.
Aren’t you enamored with how Raquel Benito captured the twinkling space? She came recommended by Bodas de Cuento, who added lots of nautical details throughout but kept everything elegant with the stripes, gold accents, and lighting.
So sweet… See more in our gallery below:
The film by A&Y Video is a must-see too guys, OK? Here it is:
