So, the story behind this vibrant Brooklyn wedding design? Tracey of Polka Dot Events and the team wanted to celebrate how many brides + grooms are gravitating toward color for their big days. They love how color-courageous their couples are becoming, and wanted to show them how they can pull off bold hues like pink, orange, and green, while remaining natural and romantic. Thanks to Julia Elizabeth Photography for capturing all these deets:
Stylist Allison Koehler adorned their bride in a Sarah Seven deep-V gown and Pre-Dame styled her hair into a low pony and paired it with a bright pink lip. As for the bouquet, it had a mix of Japanese ranunculus, flannel flowers, acacia, and jasmine.
Tracey of Polka Dot Events explains, The shoot took place at one of Brooklyn’s newest and in-demand venues, Glasserie, a former glass factory with a super chic industrial-rustic outdoor space. We styled our wood farm table with wild flowers, a silk runner, ceramic china and natural linen napkins to soften the rawness of the venue, while copper flatware and metallic ombre taper candles were used to complement. The table will full of color from the pink gold-rimmed glassware from Anthropologie to the various ranunculus, anemones, jasmine and spirea centerpiece. Each plate was finished with a handwritten wood place card from Suite Paperie.
The dessert list a la Sweet Pistachio Patisserie: Grilled Peach and Almond Financiers, Mini Citrus Pavalovas, Passionfruit Tumeric & Earl Grey Macarons and Vanilla Bean Budino with Roasted Pineapple and Caramel Crisped Rice. The plated dessert was a Hazelnut Brown Butter Gateau with Figs, Herbs and Crème Fraiche Semifreddo. Um, drool.
Love this concept for the modern bride! Thanks to everyone below for sharing their talents with us:
