Hope you all enjoyed the sweet museum proposal we had up on 100LC this morn! Continuing the with the unexpected, Kristyn Harder Photography + Evelyn Clark Weddings + set out to show off just how beautiful indoor weddings can be. As much as we all love a good outdoor ceremony, we know that tying the knot inside the right space can be just as romantic and timeless.
The whole shoot was inspired by the unpredictable weather in Calgary, where the The Commons is.
Our bride’s hair was left in its natural form, but braided for a fun but tasteful updo. The bridal separates allowed us to create our own dress, combining a constructed jeweled top with a bouncy skirt and dramatic long veil. The groom was styled in the vein of Cary Grant as a understated, but elegant, complement to the show-stopping bride.
Never underestimate the powerful pairing of candles + blooms!
We chose a classic theme in a palette of white, nude, slate greys, mixed metals of gold and silver, and natural greenery. Because of the hard feel of an industrial venue, we wanted to bring in details that were soft, yet refined, for balance. We played on this blend of hard versus soft by using sequins, flowing fabric as well as mixed metal colours and finishes throughout. Our florals were both structured and loose for an organic, classic style.
Super into this champagne eye The Pretty Haus whipped up for the bride’s hair + beauty look. So elegant! Flip through the rest of the details below:
