That would be Vibiana in Downtown Los Angeles, where photog Krista Mason + Sara of At Your Door Events teamed up to craft a masculine, yet romantic editorial chock full of fresh greenery and architectural beauty. It doesn’t hurt that models David + Paul are a real couple that will for sure serve as fantastic examples of sleek, modern groom’s fashion. Here we go…

Sara’s design inspiration: The concept for the styling came from the city. I wanted the overall look to be stylish, romantic and a sophisticated urban since our setting is right in the very heart of downtown LA. I was inspired to create a romantic look that was masculine and modern that would be fitting of our couple. Textures like carrera marble, warm leather, lush greenery, mirror, lucite, and jazz were the foundation that I built the design around.

Anchored by a large mirrored table our table design is reflective of our inspiration couples love. Modern and masculine black lacquered chairs created grandeur. In contrast the plate setting was a collection of more ornate and traditional pieces. The floral arrangements were a collection of modern white vessels and lucite risers. Varying sizes and shapes created interests and variety. Mixed in with the all white and green floral were vintage Edison light blub props as well as repurposed light bulb oil candles. We balanced out the modern décor choices with lots of organic, lush greenery and more ornate pieces like the chargers and glassware.
