Before we head into this last weekend of August, we’ve got a gorgy pink and blue ocean sunset inspired editorial full of creative DIYs by the team at Rion Designs. From these dip-dyed details to the blush and gold tabletop from Casa De Perrin, everything Julie Kay Kelly captured was created to evoke the calming feel of the sea and vibrance of the sunset.
Rion Designs was also behind the jaw-dropping floral arrangements featured throughout. Stunning! The look of this particular shoot was inspired by a photo of the ocean at dusk. It is harmoniously vibrant and easy. Aiming to capture that feeling, we used solid whites as a base for the colorful and high shine elements you see throughout the design. Our art and upholstery teams came together to create the ombre effect on the napkins and benches for dining. Two of our favorite pieces from this shoot are the scalloped bar and the fringe chandeliers. They both bring that feeling of oceanic movement and while complex in design, feel totally effortless.
These fun ombre fringe chandeliers were another custom design.
Warming layers of pinks and corals continue in the custom florals and tablescape, evocative of pink rays that reflect on the water as the sun begins its evening descent. Gilded rings adorned with cascading florals are suspended above the tables, gently pivoting as chimes in the wind. Clear oil lamps in glass cylinders along with silver beaded pillows, finish off the look, casting a caustic-like shine.
Thanks to Julie Kay Kelly and everyone below for sending us into the weekend inspired…
