We have such a cute wedding for you all this morning. Shot by Jillian’s super awesome hubby, Scott Clark, (Garret is a good friend of his), these pics will make you want to rethink your ceremony space. It helps when the bride’s family has the perfect tree nestled on their family property.
BUT Mel spent 6 months on her crafty wedding decor. Which is an excellent point to bring up… if you plan to do all sorts of things for your wedding, you can’t start the month before. You have to PLAN. And start way in advance. We digress.
Let’s just move on to the photos and you’ll see what we mean.
Yes, she made that headpiece. HELLO!
See what we mean??? The “Y” shaped tree!! The bunting and airy drapes! The vintage rugs! Tis almost too much to take in. (All made by the bride, of course).
Mel and her mom sprouted Oak saplings as guest favors.
And they made all the desserts two weeks before the wedding.
(Which reminds us, have you seen Rachel‘s cookie spreadsheet she used for her sister’s wedding? It’s a good reference if you plan on doing this stuff yerself.)
Instead of speeches, they set up a stage and let guests do impromptu performances for the newlyweds.
Doesn’t that look like a fun (and incredibly cute) party? Thanks so much for letting us post your weddin’ Mel and Garret! You guys are in the running for craftiest wedding of the year.
