Things are about to get real pretty up in here. The uber talented bunch at Readyluck is at it again, this time with a shoot inspired by “golden sun-drenched fields of childhood summers, a love of high hairdos, and the fantastical dresses from Sofia Coppola’s, Marie Antoinette“. Big hair, soft hairpieces, romantic hues – we can definitely get behind that! The variety of backdrops they had to shoot in front of at the Johns Hopkins family farm aren’t too shabby either. We never tire of seeing the beauty these folks come up with!
Sara, of Jill Andrews Gowns: When Lindsay and Shane came to us with the idea for the photo shoot, we immediately knew it would be a great fit for our gowns. The inspiration for the shoot was rustic, natural beauty and we immediately thought of presenting the gowns as “mock-ups”. A mock-up is the first step for custom making clothes and it is, by definition, unfinished and somewhat raw. They are quite beautiful in their own right, and fit perfectly with the aesthetic that Shane and Lindsay were trying to achieve. Our vision was to subtly communicate the emotion of each piece without defining it too much for the viewer. We hope each person will envision how they would finish the garment and make it completely their own.
Thanks to everyone involved! Already looking forward to the next one!
