Party throwers, DIY brides-to-be, and florist enthusiasts alike – you’re in for a pretty treat. For those of you who may be unfamiliar with Amy Osaba event.floral.design, they are a full event design company with an aesthetic that is organic, free, with a twist on the traditional. They recently celebrated their new studio space (the Goat Farm in Atlanta) by opening it up for the 1st in a series of floral workshops. Plenty of cupcakes, gourmet sack lunches, savory cocktails, and one adorable complimentary goody apron later, Indian Summer was a beautiful success. We’ll let the floral creations tell the rest!
Drawing inspiration from fiery sunsets and warm evenings ‘round the campfire, this inaugural workshop gave students the opportunity to create a lush tablescape, styled with found objects and locally foraged botanicals. At this workshop, students not only learned the basics of floral design, such as flower identification and composition, but they also learned how to implement some of our signature touches, from creating charming vignettes using vintage vessels, to incorporating local foliage into arrangements and creating a centerpiece with movement and balance.
The mood board behind the look and feel of the workshop. To get a closer look at these tears check out their Indian Summer Pinterest board.
We just died and went to flower heaven. Love these arrangements!
“It was an Indian summer, a bluebird sort of day…warm and sunny, without a breath of wind; the water was sky-blue, the shores a bank of solid gold.”
– Sigurd Olson
So much pretty & fun – and, this was just the first of many workshops to come! We’ll eagerly be awaiting the announcement of the next one (in hopes of snagging a seat). Until then, a big thank you to all the talented vendors involved!
