Afternoon tea, Italian wine, dessert, and pearls are reason enough to celebrate with your soon-to-be bridal party, yes? Today, a couple of Italian vendors are sharing some party inspiration specifically for that reason. Should you decide to get married in Italy (lucky you), we don’t doubt these folks would help you throw a fab event. And if you’re not getting married in Italy, the details in this shoot would make for a fun and elegant tea party bridal shower with the ladies, vintage dresses and fancy hats required, of course.
Varese Wedding on the design + styling of the shoot:For most of the items I went straight to my grandmother’s attic and pulled black & white photographs and doilies. I also visited flea markets and found a handful of lovely vintage objects: an old typewriter, an antique teapot, old books. I quickly realized that it’s one of the best ways for a bride to add a vintage touch to her wedding! Just take a stroll around antique markets with some friends and you’ll find unique pieces to decorate with.
Elena, the creator of those cute hats, is an old-fashioned jewels and hat designer. She was inspired by the Victorian and bohemian fashion, using soft colors and rich fabrics, combining flowers, feathers, lace and pearls to make elegant and unique pieces. Some hats reproduced in the shape of a cylinder, were typical of the Victorian fashion, others were inspired by cocktail hats used in the 30s.
Ciao!
