Figuring out the pretty details and getting crafty was a whole lot easier than what Katie + Joe had to do in the middle of the night, before their wedding. They were forced to make the last minute, nightmarish decision to call every guest plus their vendors and postpone the wedding, due to last year’s Hurricane Irene. As you’ll see, the second take at the wedding worked out in the end. And the details were beautiful. Loose, romantic, garden bouquets tucked in stained pine boxes, soft clusters of wildflowers tucked into crystal vases, accented by candles and soft peach rose petals on the tables. It was a simplistic yet elegant wedding.
My advice to any brides would be to just roll with the punches of the day. Having our first wedding canceled the morning of I quickly learned that some things are out of your control. No matter how much time you put into planning and organizing all of the small details of every aspect of your wedding, things will happen as they are supposed to. At the end of the day, you will be married to your best friend, and that is what it’s all about, anyway! No matter what goes wrong, keep smiling, and you will always have a great story to tell.
So happy everything worked out for these two. Congratulations Katie + Joe!
