There is just something about peach weddings, isn’t there? And we mean peachy peach weddings. Like Nicola + Darren’s. Her shoes, bouquet, macaron favors, getaway VW van, his tie, the piñata, straws, and entire sweets table, cake included. It’s all peach, and so very beautifully photographed by Tealily Photography. Their classic shindig was plenty feminine with a number of diy elements that are definitely worth noting. Garlands, fabric bunting, hand painted banners, pom poms and more.
I had my heart set on a bouquet with a mass of apricot David Austin roses with (fingers crossed) some peonies but the timing wasn’t quite right for them and my beautiful florist managed to get a few apricot roses and added a beautiful big pink waratah (an Australian native), peach rununculas, flannel flowers, blushing brides and whimsical little puffs of mulla mulla, daisies and dusty miller. It was like I had walked through the most magical spring field and filled my arms with all the beauty I could hold and had it wrapped with lengths of velvet and linen ribbons.
Sugarcoated Events made all the stationery: the wedding program fans with handpainted handles, menus, coffee cups, signs, meringue bar labels as well as cushions for the little ones to perch on at the end of the aisle, and hand dyed vintage napkins and aprons for the waiters to wear so they were just the right color peach.Love this hand painted banner, and love their wedding. Congrats N + D!
