Alder Manor is the type of place you book asap if Victorian architectural details make you swoon and your heart flutters in vintage shops. It was the spot for Tara + Paul since she’s the type that makes it a point to shop flea markets in every state and country she visits. In keeping with a vintage romantic theme for their wedding, there really could not have been a venue with more character, history, and perfectly imperfect details than Alder Manor. Plus, there really could not have been a better photographer than Dan O’ Day to capture the melancholy beauty of it all.
In addition to Tara’s bouquet of peonies, garden roses, ranunculus, and scabiosa blooms and pods, she pinned her late grandmother’s pendant onto the ribbon of the bouquet.
Tara bought replica vintage skeleton keys from ebay spray painted them gold and attached a kraft paper tag with guests names and table numbers as escort cards.
And the tastiest favors of all… French macarons from Jacque Torres in clear boxes with a gold bow. A little nod to their engagement in Paris.
Don’t you just love it all? That dress…
Congratulations Tara + Paul!
