Something BIG is about to happen to these two lovebirds tomorrow. They’re gettin’ married, and we all get to watch! Starting tomorrow at 11 a.m. EST on TheKnot.com and The Knot’s Facebook page, all eyes will be tuning in to watch Sierra + Andre say ‘I Do’. The public has voted on every little aspect of their dream wedding and now it all unfolds. But first, let’s go back a bit and share their sweet e-sesh captured by Scott Clark that was shot at the very incredible Big Daddy Antiques in Culver City (psss.. they now hold weddings at their store!).
What made both of you know he/she was the one?
We knew we were meant to be together from the first moment we met when Sierra came to look at the apartment for the first time.
Why did you decide to apply for the Knot’s Dream Wedding contest?
We decided to apply to the Knot’s Dream Wedding contest for several reasons. Due to financial strains, we pushed our wedding back and planned on having an almost two year engagement. Andre’s family is all on the east coast and Sierra’s is on the west coast. Trying to figure out how to bring our families together left us with having to plan two separate ceremonies which we simply couldn’t afford. We also felt like we had such a unique and romantic love story that needed to be shared, and decided to give it a shot.
Since a lot of the main decisions regarding your wedding are being made by the Knot readers what personal touches are you going to have in your big day?
Although this is a very public event, we are so fortunate that, The Knot has been very sensitive to the fact that this is still our wedding, and a very special day in our lives. So they’ve let us include personal traditions, request favorite songs, write our own vows, and even let Sierra give a skating performance at Citi Pond since she is a professional figure skater!
What decisions from the Knot readers have you liked the best thus far?
Honestly everything that has been selected for us we love! We never would have been able to even have these things as options if we were planning it ourselves. We can’t wait to see how it all comes together!
We know your honeymoon will be determined by the readers soon, but where would your dream honeymoon be?
We feel like we’ve been given such an incredible gift and we’d like to give back somehow. So we have a dream of wherever we honeymoon, we will volunteer and work with charities. We both love to travel and will inevitably use the chosen destination as a launching pad for further volunteer work. We’d love to help rebuild homes and schools after the earthquake devastation in Japan, teach English and volunteer in orphanages in Thailand, and help preserve the threatened environment and wildlife in Africa. We’re calling it a “Charitymoon”!
After spending the day following them around as they had their photos taken we fell in love with them. We couldn’t be more excited for them!
If you haven’t already checked out some of their videos on the Knot’s site, you can check them out here. Long story short, they met when Andre had a listing for a roommate to share his apartment, and Sierra who had just moved to LA, answered the listing. It’s truly a cute story.
Guess what? Jillian & Amanda are actually on a plane right now headed to NYC to witness their dream wedding, so make sure to follow them on Instagram (@jilly100lc and @amanda100lc), and on Vine (@100layercake) to see closer peeks at the wedding details.
