Living in San Diego, Heather Helé of Sweet Revelry Events knows the Latino culture is prevalent everywhere you turn. Cinco de Mayo, Dia de los Muertos, margaritas in Old Town. Her goal for this shoot was to incorporate traditional aspects of the culture in a setting with soft, romantic colors and then dress it up into a glamorous, feminine theme for a wedding. To do that, a complete dream team of vendors brought their talent to the shoot. And seriously, it’s beautiful detail after beautiful detail captured by Flutter Glass Photography. Is that a shawl made of flowers?! Um, yes. The crazy talented ladies at Thorne Artistry and Sandra Nicole Designs even created a shawl made completely out of fresh flowers!
Check out the DIY tutorial for these adorable lace parasol drink stirrers! Also, you can purchase those Papel Picados flags in our shop, so stop on by.
Gold Milagros (small metal religious charms often carried around for luck and protection) were incorporated throughout the tablescape by sewing the individual charms onto the lace table runner and edging the napkins. Gold Sacred hearts (known to symbolize the love one feels for another) were placed on each place setting, then appeared in the paper goods by Pitbulls and Posies, and adorned the gorgeous cake by Hey There, Cupcake!.
Wouldn’t guests shaking maracas be an adorable exit for the bride and groom as they come back down the aisle as husband and wife?
Elements such as milagros, the Sacred Heart, maracas, piñatas, papel picado flags and rosary beads where incorporated into the shoot and mixed with lace, metallic gold, fringe, and fluffy romantic flowers by Leaf it to Lexi.
And that cake? Stun-ning. Click here to view entire gallery
