Liz + Dara are a playful bunch. They’re also nature lovers and spend a lot of time outdoors, so it seemed natural to plan an outdoor wedding. Their wedding venue, the historical Oak Tree Manor, could not have been more perfect. Wait until you see the oak tree they got married under! Liz wasn’t sure how lawn games, whimsical details like coke bottle escort cards, or vintage decor would all come together, but the outcome was prettier than she could have ever imagined.
Liz’s bridal bouquet: garden roses, spray roses, seeded eucalyptus, dahlias, hanging amaranthus, and craspedia pods.
I first spotted Oak Tree Manor on a wedding photographer’s blog, and I was blown away by photos of the incredible old oak tree. The venue was even prettier in person, and the family that runs it was very friendly and flexible. We loved the vintage charm of the bed and breakfast. We toured several other venues afterwards, but none compared to Oak Tree Manor. We returned one evening after dark to see the whole venue lit up by strands of cafe lights, and that cemented our decision – we emailed in our contract the next morning.
