Planning a wedding is all about finding what best represents the two of you. Some pairs might opt for a grand ballroom fete; other couples might choose a cozy celebration up in the mountains; and what Ashley + Adam had in mind was a casual backyard affair—for a guest list of 200. Ashley says, I wanted it to feel handmade and like a backyard wedding, but it had to be at a larger location because of the amount of guests. It was rustic, simple, and full of personal touches. Well there you have it. Proof that you can—and should—have your cake and eat it too! Check out Tessa J. Photography’s beautiful images below.
My engagement ring was custom made by a man in Edmond, Oklahoma. We also had him make our wedding bands. That was really special because we used family gold that we got to melt down ourselves in his workshop. Then he used diamonds from my dad’s old wedding band for mine.
Love this idea for chilly weather weddings! Such a sweet sentiment too.
Ashley and Adam’s last name is Love! That sure came in handy in the decor elements.
Ashley + Adam’s first dance was to a song that Adam wrote for his bride. How romantic is that?
Sparklers and a vespa… What a cool sendoff!
