Woodsy weddings are way romantic, yes? There’s something about being tucked away in the woods with all your loved ones that just makes us feel all warm and cuddly inside. Add in a babbling creek and Portia + Desmond’s vintage-meets-French-chateau-meets-shabby-chic style, and you have a wedding we can really get behind. We’re also digging the dreamy pastel tones captured oh-so-beautifully by Emily Delamater. Swoon.

Portia’s bouquet recipe: succulents, peonies, ranunculus, ivory garden roses, and dusty miller.
From Portia… There were so many special moments, but my favorite is when my husband surprised me by serenading me during our reception. He has a beautiful, full voice but he never sings publicly, so it was truly touching that he shared his voice with me on our special day in front of all our family and friends. With a few of his friends playing the guitar, banjo, and tambourine, he walked me over to the dance floor, sat me down, and sang “You Send Me” by Otis Redding. I was trying not to tear up the whole time. He blew me and everyone else away!
So sweet! Congrats!
