As we started reviewing this beauty from Josh Goleman, of The Wedding Artists Collective, one thing was clear. Sunny LOVES flowers. Their wedding is kind of dripping in them. And then when Sunny admitted that she looked to the whimsical illustrations in Walter Crane’s, A Flower Wedding as constant inspiration, we were like, “Ohh yeah, now we see it!”. What a beautiful place to draw inspiration from too. You could seriously tear out a page from that book and see how she applied it to her fashion & decor. Her crown just touches the surface of all the floral goodness you’re about to see. Take a look! Click here to jump over to the full gallery of images!
Sunny’s bridal bouquet recipe: peachy pink Icelandic poppy, ranunculus, augusta lousie, Juliette, helios, soft pink peony, white scabiosa, blush/white wax flower, jasmine, and gardenia.
Such a gorgeous and timeless shot!
From Gordon… For the ceremony we had a string quartet play Fleetwood Mac and Beatles songs. I had the idea that for Sunny’s entrance, everyone would be brought to their feet by the opening bars of “The Wedding March”, then the string quartet would switch to The Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun”. It was the perfect announcement of my radiant bride’s arrival.
My favorite store in San Francisco, Bell’Ochio, has oodles and oodles of vintage and antique ribbons. I was gawking over all of it one day and Gordon told me we should make our own. So over the course of the next year and a half we collected ribbons from all over our travels. My amazing friend Whitney Arrington created a sign telling people to cut pieces and adorn themselves. It was such a hit!
Isn’t this the cutest bride & groom head table?
We bet guests felt like they were dining in a secret garden with all of these pretty arrangements surrounding them.
Small fireworks on your wedding cake? Love!
So much fun, and so much more to look at in our gallery…
