These two used one word to describe their wedding, and that was, fiesta! Pure & simple, and in every sense of the word, Kori + Ben had the most fun and colorful wedding maybe ever? Ben loves Dia de los Muertos decor, so it was an easy decision to go with a fiesta inspired wedding, with a taco truck. Piñatas, bright colors, cactus, succulents and papel picado were all on Kori’s Pinterest design board, so in a way, La Boheme Events turned a Pinterest board into a real life pin-worthy wedding!
We first fell in love with that Mara Hoffman dress when we saw it in this Bohemian Art Deco shoot and have since been dying to see it on a real bride. So pretty!
All the ladies, including Kori’s dress are from Free People.
A favorite memory… The parade down State Street with all of our friends and family. This was such a sweet moment for us and I loved watching everyone shake their maracas and tambourines while the mariachi band played.
Everyone splurges at some point for their wedding, and for Kori + Ben, they chose to spend a bit more dinero on the bar! We love margaritas and we knew we wanted a couple of signature cocktails. My favorite was the jalapeno/cilantro margarita. Pharmacie was the bar company we hired and they made amazing drinks. I still have family and friends raving about the drinks. (We can vouch for them too, their cocktails are amaze!)
A lot of the wedding was DIY but my favorite project were the mini piñatas. They were incredibly tedious but I had a blast making them. I got the idea from Oh Happy Day. We knew we wanted a piñata at the wedding but I didn’t want a big one that everyone would hit. When I found the mini piñatas on the blog I knew that this was the perfect comprise and it would add that special touch.
So pretty, right? It gets even better with their wedding video from Wild Whim…
The fiesta continues in our gallery, so make sure to pop in for all the prettiness!
