Laura + Kyle’s wedding is one of those events we wish we could dive right into. From the impeccably styled tablescape to that yummy looking signature cocktail… Hudson Nichols’ photos make the whole day look pretty perfect, don’t they? And according to Laura, the focus was really on having a fun and comfortable atmosphere. She and Kyle placed less importance on some of the traditional aspects of a wedding—no bouquet toss and no long speeches here—and more on having guests feel at ease.
Laura’s gorgeous veil that you see in the very first photo was a DIY by her mom. She incorporated pieces of lace from her own veil, which was also worn by three of Laura’s aunts, one of her cousins, and Laura’s three sisters. So sweet!
Laura’s bouquet recipe: ivory garden roses, white lisanthius, ivory dahlias, white ranuculus and blush spray roses accented with seeded eucalyptus.
Laura walked down the aisle to “Somebody to Love” by Queen. Such a fun choice!
Laura + Kyle scoured thrift stores for all the vases on the tables, and then painted the bottom sections with gold paint. Just like this little DIY we shared this morning!
This Art Deco-inspired cake is almost too pretty to eat! Almost.
Laura says, Kyle and I are both a bit introverted so we decided to read our vows to each other in private before the ceremony. It was just the two of us and the moment was very personal and intimate.
What a beautiful moment. Congrats you guys!
