After hearing that Rachel + Fabien are both French 3D artists working on a short film together, we’re not surprised that their wedding is filled with so much cinematic beauty. The vintage ambiance, antique mailbox, and airmail stationary—all nods to their movie. Pretty neat, yes? And then there’s the location… We’re fans of any film—we mean, wedding—set in a quaint backyard garden in the South of France. Thanks to Anne-Claire Brun for sharing the beautiful photos with us.
Rachel + Fabien’s love story is straight out of a movie too. Rachel says, I was 14 years old and Fabien was 19 when we met each other. We were on a train between Paris and Montpellier. When I saw Fabien, I don’t know why but I really wanted to know him. Because I was too shy, I asked to my younger brother to give him a piece of paper with my e-mail address. We just fell in love really quickly after that.
When I was on the old bicycle with Fabien, with all our guests behind us, I really had the impression I had been brought back a century earlier. In spite of the rain at the end of the afternoon, we smiled all day long.
The bunting always gets us… too cute!
Rachel + Fabien asked their guests to dress like they were from the turn of the 20th century. And they happily obliged! Everyone came prepared with a moustache, a hat, or a rad vintage accessory.
We’re sure everyone had loads of fun in that photobooth… those animal masks are a real nice touch, don’t you think?
