We’ll never ever get tired of looking at photos of farm weddings. They’re so full of rustic, homespun charm. Just look at Marta + Adam’s New Hampshire celebration—it totally proves our point. You’ve got your barn reception, your locally farmed cuisine and craft beer, loads of upcycled DIY projects, and a scenic expanse of New England land as the backdrop. Thanks Emily Delamater for sharing the photos with us!
The drawings of ferns were all Marta’s work. What a talented bride, huh?
Marta’s sweet + organic bouquet recipe: garden roses, queen anne’s lace, dephiniums, veronica, ferns, bachelor buttons, lisianthus, globe thistle, agapanthus, and ruscus.
From Marta: We had a modified Quaker ceremony, where between the introduction and our vows we shared 15 minutes of silence. During this time guests were invited to share thoughts on the nature of love and marriage if they felt so moved. Everyone loved listening to the birds and breeze, and we adored being able to take that moment to really soak it all in and hear loved ones share their thoughts for us. It was incredibly special.
Because our farm style wedding was so full of DIY projects, we enlisted the help of our friends and family to help make it happen. Similar to a traditional “barn-raising” where a community comes together to hoist the post and beams and raise the barn, our loved ones joined us the day before our wedding to help make sure all the rentals were set up, the lights were hung, the benches were put out for the ceremony, and that we were happy.
One of Marta’s other favorite memories of the night? The dancing. We really cut loose! It was hysterical to see friends and family swinging from rafters, dancing their hearts out.
Cheers you two!
