Remember earlier this month when hair +makeup pro Janet Miranda of BE.NYLA shared her secrets in this bridal hair how-to? We were pretty smitten with the results, so you can imagine how delighted we were to discover that she has a few more tricks up her sleeve. This time involving, big, beautiful, totally unique braids. And who doesn’t love a good braid or two (or three)? Now it’s just a matter of choosing the best one for a pretty white dress.
Thanks to Betsi Ewing for the lovely photos below…
Twisted Braid Updo
For this style, Janet pulled the hair into a loose two-stranded twist. She then rolled the hair upward and pinned into place.
Twisted Fishtail Braid
For this braid, Janet brushed the hair back, then started a lower braid. Leaving a portion of hair out of each side, she created a fishtail braid down to the bottom. Next, she wrapped the outside strands around the braid. Janet tied it off with elastic at the bottom, then wrapped a bit of hair around to hide the tie. To create the messy look, gently pull at each part of the braid and spray to keep in place.
Romantic Side Braid with Bun
For this look, a loose French braid was created at the side and down the hair. The remaining hair was gathered into a twisted bun with curled pieces of hair, and pinned into place.
Which braid is your fave?
