If you love history, nature, and those New England summer vibes, you’ll totally fall in love with this venue. Mike and Kate wanted to tie the knot somewhere that encompassed all the things they loved, and found that in Wells Reserve at Laudholm – a space rarely used as a venue. Kate says, We wanted something truly special and unique for us, and given our love of the ocean, farming, and conservation, Laudholm Farm (historic farm turned estuarine research reserve on the coast of Maine) was more than perfect; it was a dreamland.

Surrounded by friends + flowers… what a dream!
It was super important to K + M that their guests felt comfortable, even amidst a hot July in Maine – so they told them to wear what they wanted and provided drinks and lawn sports, while the farm gave everyone space to spread out in a laidback environment. Kate says relaxed is the way to go… She even went surfing the morning of. Love this attitude!
Everything about this is just perfection.
They went local whenever possible – with delectable eats from Dandelion Catering + flowers from Marianmade Farm. Not to mention that both their Day of Coordinator and DJ were also in the wedding party!
Refreshments, anyone?
We really both can’t say enough about how wonderful, helpful, and talented our family and friends. The first hurricane of the season, Arthur, hit the east coast on July 4th. Our amazing bridesmaids had been asked to set up decorations and they ended up struggling through seriously strong wind all morning. Chairs were falling over and plates were literally flying off tables. Despite this, they did a beautiful job. The wind died down by the ceremony and we had perfect weather plus – fireworks that had been postponed the day before!
