Soo, who’s up for a quick midday mental trip to Rome? We. So. Are. Jen of Jen Wojcik Photography shared these photos with us from her trip to Rome on a photography retreat called Retreat Gatherings – an event that usually involves a handful of beautiful shoots for photographers to capture. As if that wasn’t awesome enough, Jen + the others were thrilled to find that they were able to capture an actual “I do” during their stay – an absolutely breathtaking one at that.
Smitten with this invitation suite.
There’s a reason king protea is cropping up in some of our best bouquets lately (remember this vibrant bouquet recipe?). So eye-catching!
On the last day of their retreat, Jen and the others learned that they were not only going to be photographing at the Villa, but that the couple was actually getting married. Jen says, We weren’t there just to capture pretty things anymore. We were there to document love, which at the end of the day, is why we all do what we do.
The day was just as memorable for the talents behind it as the B & G… A scary diagnosis (and thankfully a successful surgery!) just before the trip changed Jen’s experience entirely, but she went along with the plan despite being in recovery mode. Having the support of the retreat group helped her heal, gave her perspective, and paid off when she got to document such an important day in J + T’s lives. Hear the rest of Jen’s story on her blog here.
Thanks for sharing your story + photos, Jen!
