Before you look at DeepEnd Imagery’s photos, there are few things to know about M + R: First, coming up with a wedding theme was natural for Mylene – she’s always dreamed of a 1920s wedding and has an inspiration book to prove it (!!) Second, her grandmother hand made her wedding dress. Which is gorgeous. Lastly, they wanted their wedding to reflect not only them, but their fam + friends too, so they could give a big thank you for all their love and support over the years. Mylene says, Balancing those two was difficult at times but usually I found seeing those we loved happy in the end made us happy.
She’s so right, isn’t she? Now onto the pictures…
Mylene’s grandmother crocheted this dress + her headpiece… How amazing is that?! The boutonnieres, corsages, invites, centerpiece, favor bags, thank you notes, gift bags, signage, and ceremony backdrop (and more!) were all DIY too.
Romeo loves dressing up and sporting bow ties, so his style totally went with the Gatsby theme too.
Mylene’s friend Sasha Kiesel created her gorgeous fabric bouquet, so she could keep it forever and pass it down to her children one day.
They met at their home church, which proved to be a great space for their ceremony with over 250 guests. As for the banquet hall, Mylene was apprehensive about it first: I opted to visit the venue to please my father and once I entered the space and saw the vintage elements they carried I was in love. Once I spoke with the staff, I imminently knew it was the venue. They were so friendly and helpful, different from staff from other venues. Not to mention the floor to ceiling windows the surrounded 3 out of four of the walls!
The aforementioned “big thank you”. Love!
A sweet video from DeepEnd Imagery…
Ah, just beautiful! Congrats Mylene and Romeo!
