When you get a chance to have the New York Public library all to yourself, you do not turn it down. That’s what Kate Schaefer of H&H Weddings says… And as soon as she got the green light, she whipped up this amaze wedding shoot inspired by deep berry tones, the grandeur of the library, and a modern spin on gothic. Lucky for us, Mademoiselle Fiona brilliantly captured all the phenomenal fashion and sophisticated details below.
Kate says, We wanted this shoot to scream luxurious winter inspiration. One bride wore two custom dresses, while the other kept things current in a chic silk two-piece female suit. Aiming for a balance of modern and gothic, we kept jewelry minimal.
This dress! Both of the gowns are originals by FIT students, Brenna Simmons & Susan Yee.
For those of you wanting an example of a timeless winter beauty look…
As for the table: Deep magenta peonies were accented by gold tableware and baroque place settings.
Delicious looking signature cocktails sprinkled throughout and a dark, elegant cake by Nine Cakes:
Kate has quite the eye for wedding design, don’t you think? She runs H&H Weddings, an LGBT website dedicated to offering couples high-end wedding resources for their big events.
Thanks to the team below for all the inspiration!
