Weddings, birthday parties, chocolate cravings… Lots of things end with desserts. But for this winter wedding shoot, it all started with dessert. Photog Genel Lynne loves a good fresh, white cake adorned with berries (who wouldn’t?!) and from there her thoughts wandered to a fabulous pair of Jimmy Choos and finally a talented team of vendors to bring it all to life. And yes… the cake made its way in, too!
We loved the idea of an old, cold, stone church for the shoot—it reminded us of Beauty and the Beast. There aren’t many places in Atlanta that held that feel, but there was a local church that was perfect. We love morning light, and the light drizzle of rain added to the shoot and gave texture to a lot of the photos.
These beauties are the Jimmy Choo Aza Degrade Suede Pump in Navy.
They knew right away that model Savannah would be the best fit for this shoot with her blue eyes and dark hair to contrast with their white dress and rich tones.
Love that this color palette was inspired by rich harvests, the midnight sky, and wintertime.
Cherry on Top Bakery brought the team’s cake dreams to life with cakes + tarts. Thanks to Genel Lynne + the folks below for sharing this shoot with us!
