DIY weddings and nature go hand-in-hand, don’t you think? Perhaps it’s because a couple like S + P that appreciates the great outdoors also doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty when it comes to their big day. In this case, “getting your hands dirty” ranges from constructing wood signage to meticulously detailed accessories. It all came together like it was meant to be, as shown in these images by Christie Graham Photography (who these guys were super excited to snag, and we see why!)…
The bride + her sister created the floral hairpieces.
And a pair of gorgeous handcrafted sleeves for the bride. Silvie says, After an online shopping mishap, I was left a month before the big day with no sleeves for my dress. So as a last resort, I decided to try and make my own. A few weeks of trial and error (and some choice words) later, I was sporting a completely custom look down the aisle, and I was thrilled with it.
Ceremony décor was sweet ‘n simple to highlight the natural setting + work of Celsia Floral.
So cute! Florals throughout included blush + cream garden roses, seeded eucalyptus, ferns + cedar boughs, to name a few.
BTW, they did the cake themselves, too! The DIY list includes (all with the help of amazing fam + friends):
Wood signs, hand-hammered, copper seating tags, tag tassles, wood paddle place holders, invitations, ring pillow, aisle runners, wreaths, suspended wreaths, table numbers, wood coasters, cake, desserts, table décor, hairpieces, and arch.
Cheers!
