This Florence museum shoot has all you’d want in an e-sesh: rich history, candid moments, and photos that read like stories. Ali + Davide were happy to stumble upon Stefano Santucci & Lucrezia Cosso‘s photography while planning their Italy wedding from their New York home. With a countryside venue in mind for the big day, they chose iconic locations in the city center for their engagement.
Ali says, Some of the shots were taken at well known locations like the Ponte Vecchio, Galleria degli Uffizi, Piazza della Signoria, Loggia di Orcagna. Other shots were taken on quaint little side streets and hidden corners of the city that even Davide had never seen before; it was the perfect balance.
Planning a wedding in Davide’s hometown of Florence from afar has been tricky, which is why they were thrilled when planners Silvia & Francesca at SposiamoVi were able to arrange a meeting with the photographers while they were in town.
Stefano Santucci & Lucrezia Cosso‘s style of photography is so inventive.Ali says, Stefano and Lucrezia are both very talented and take pictures that are both beautiful and unique. It’s almost as if they see the world a little differently from everyone else. I also do not have the words to describe what lovely people they are. Davide and I are both not incredibly comfortable in front of the camera and they made us feel very at ease.
Their proposal story:
Davide and I got engaged on the island of Elba which is off the coast of Tuscany where Davide’s family has a summer home. Davide proposed to me on an old pier where he used to go fishing with his grandfather when he was a little boy. It is a really special place for Davide and I am happy that we got to make a new memory there together.
The day after we got engaged we headed back to Florence to celebrate the birthday of Davide’s father, or so I thought. When I walked into the restaurant my mother, father and little sister were there to surprise me. Davide had arranged to have them fly out to Italy so that we could celebrate the engagement all together! We spent the entire week in Tuscany with both of our families.
A + D are tying the knot in May. Congrats, guys!
