Guys, can we all just breathe a sigh of relief that it’s finally Friday?! And the Friday before Christmas, no less. Before the insanity begins, you have to check out Y + B’s French wedding set at the historic Château de Dangu. The venue gave off the romantic, formal vibe they wanted, but they added their own Gatsby twist in order to balance the it with a relaxed, unpretentious spirit for guests. Josh Goleman of The Wedding Artists Collective captured it all below:
A little collection of heavenly French shoes…
Lily Paloma crafted a bouquet of white lilies, dahlias, peonies, jasmine, and roses, and an antique velvet ribbon. They incorporated edible flowers into the cocktails, menu, and favors, including over 90 raspberry lollipops with organic edible rose petals.
The dining room was decorated with white antique lace tablecloths, giant chandeliers adorned with seasonal flowers, lots and lots of candles (we both hate artificial lighting to eat!) and some furniture we had already at home or found during the year at the flea market: on old gramophone, 1920s box and figurines, antique vases and our favorites novels from F.Scott Fitzgerald. The bride’s best friend Anais also performed Bruno Mars’ You Can Count On Me on ukulele.
They built a 20s-style paper moon backdrop for guests to take photos with and share in creating memories.
Congratulations, Yannis & Bénédicte!
