Guys, this Paris elopement totally just brightened our day for so many reasons. The bride and her friend Jaimi are both in the SoCal beauty biz, running Fiore Beauty, making it easy (and fun) to get all dolled up. Then there’s the fact that Jaimi’s gown ended up being Janel’s dream dress. And to make it all happen in Paris: Chris has family in Luxembourg, so it was an easy decision to get married nearby, have the honeymoon, and visit fam he hadn’t seen in years. Beautiful, right? Now, onto the pretty photos Katie Mitchell Photography sent our way…
This gal has impeccable taste.
Janel tells it, My dress was the most special and sweetest surprise! When I started describing the type of dress I would like with Jaimi, she said “That sounds like my wedding dress!” Her dress was a gorgeous, Japanese silk custom mermaid-style gown. Shortly after our dress talk, she brought out a huge box with her wedding dress in it and said I should take it and make it my own! I was so touched and honored by her lovely gift, along with the sentiment behind the dress. I was lucky enough to have the original dress designers alter the dress, adding a slightly sexy french flair. It was also fun that Jaimi would be the one to help me get in my dress (“our” dress).
The Jardin du Luxembourg makes for quite the lovely elopement backdrop, no? Plus, photog Katie Mitchell knew all the locations to get the best shots.
C + J decided on an elopement when they realized a lot of family and friends wouldn’t be able to join the overseas festivities. Their good friends Matt + Jaimi love traveling to Paris, and were thrilled to be witnesses + companions for the big day. Janel says, From there, everything just seemed to fall in place. Sounds like it!
After our ceremony and pictures we dined at Le Coupe-Chou, a charmingly romantic restaurant we found on a walk the day before. The food was delicious the ambiance help set the mood and everyone there was so nice, it was the perfect ending to a magical day!
Congrats you two!
Hope everyone has a FABULOUS Valentine’s Day!
