Is it safe to say it’s floral crown season? Brown Bunny Flowers def knows how to make it feel like spring. For these photos, Alexandria of Peppermint Plum Photography took to her family’s ranch; the pink florals + lace dress added a romantic vibe to the rural setting and the colors of the area had her dreaming…
Part of our daily winter routine while living on my family’s 40 acre ranch in California’s central valley has been going outside to gather as many sweet little tangerines as two tiny pairs of toddler hands can carry. Their waxy emerald leaves and jewel toned flesh was my central inspiration for this whimsical wedding shoot. A pastel palette with pops of vibrant orange, gold sequins, and shimmering nude effortlessly complimented one another.
Perfectly loopy letters + adorable floral illustrations by Red Calligraphy.
The florals used throughout: peach and pink garden roses, blushing bride, light pink spray roses, white chocolate roses, peach hypericum berries, blush rice flowers, pink ranunculus with seeded eucalyptus, jasmine vines, lemon leaf, tangerines, cascading citrus greens, and white olive branch.
Such a charming color combo.
And a sweet story from Peppermint Plum:
To me, the most inspiring part of this shoot was what was happening behind the scenes. The florist’s two children along with my three year old were climbing trees and catching lizards while we worked, and my 14 month old rode in the Ergo on my back for the entire shoot. It all just felt magical, playful, and full of whimsy, exactly what we wanted to capture. The two of us, along with the event planner who designed the tables and baked the desserts, are all mothers; mothers with an unyielding desire to create beauty and to inspire others through our art.
