Cuties Jenn + Scott made sure their wedding wasn’t just about them. They wanted their friends and fam to know they’re appreciated, so they opted to create a whole experience. It was basically a big ‘thank you’ party for the guys who helped shaped them into the man + woman they are today. Amazing, right? Surprise treats from Jeni’s Ice Cream and photos as wedding gifts (they had a fun family/wedding party photo sesh with Kristin Sweeting before the rehearsal dinner) kicked off the big day…
Thanks to Kristin for sending along the photos below!

Their décor style: eclectic + intentional.
Jenn says, I had always dreamed of having an outdoor fall wedding but never thought it would become a reality. As we were searching for venues in Nashville, nothing seemed to fall into place, and somehow in the midst of the so-far-fruitless venue search, a family friend offered for us to use their property about an hour south of Nashville. When we visited for the first time, our jaws could not move from their dropped position as we toured the STUNNING 400 acres of fields, forests, and even a lake! It had everything we could have wanted including a house on the property where my very large family and I could stay during the wedding week. Scott and I both love being in and surrounded by nature, and this location far surpassed our wildest dreams for our special day.
What a dapper crew!
The DIY list: J, S, + friends collected 200+ glass bottles for months, and Scott’s mom worked hours removing all the paper. Friends also sewed fabric together for the photobooth backdrop + decorated a custom arbor that Beam Design Group created (who also made a custom door for them, and later turned it into their headboard.) Another project was creating a huge dance party playlist that their friend Phil kept flowing all night as DJ.

As my 90 year old great aunt (who is the wisest person I have ever known) reminded me, “Remember that it is more important to plan for your marriage than plan for your wedding.” This was much easier said than done, but carve out time for the two of you to have date nights where no wedding talk is allowed. Remember why you are going through all of this crazy planning process in the first place.
Jenn also says to think outside the box with things like catering (there’s wasn’t super traditional, but yummy and way more affordtable) and that Excel spreadsheets are a MUST. Cheers guys!
