…Notice the words ‘elopement’ and ‘vow renewal’ in the title? That’s how Dana + her guy Reuben celebrated ten years after their 2004 elopement. At the time, they didn’t have their two boys to celebrate with, had to rush back to a long distance living sitch, and didn’t have a collection of digital images to relive the memories with like everyone does now. They knew they’d want to honor their commitment again when the time was right, so D + R booked Blackberry Farm for their venue, accommodations, and food. Jimmy Choo‘s ‘Lang’ shoes are just so darn pretty.
Dana says, Reuben promised me that we would do it again, and we decided to make plans for our celebration to coincide with our 10th anniversary this past July (2014). We wanted to include our boys. We had this chance to celebrate our love—a little bit vow renewal, and a little bit re-elopement (if there is such a thing)—and we were going to do it up right to honor our extraordinary love for each other. And, without a doubt, it would be documented.
The day began with breakfast together in the Main House, horseback riding, exploration, and the Wellhouse Spa for Dana. The Renewal of Vows ceremony was at the boathouse, followed by a private “dinner-a-field” via the farm’s staff + executive chef. Sounds amazing!
For our little ceremony, I wore a Temperley London Bellerose lace gown cut from ivory satin and overlaid with delicate French lace. I fell in love with the timelessness and supremely glamorous design of this dress. The waist is cinched and narrow, while the gown kicks out into a full flare at the floor. The lace is sheer around the neck and scoops to a low open back.
This dusty rose is the perfect pink, yes?
